I’ll never stop learning, and for that I love to read. I used to read books, magazines, newspapers, journals, manuals, tutorials, menus, fliers, circulars, whatever. Anything that could be read, I would read.
Watching something is learning too. I remember when I was maybe 6 or 7 years old, I would chase a roaming jeep belonging to our local cinema operator when it was on its promotional rounds to get a tossed-out movie circular. I would be proud to share the circular with my friends later and we would decide whether to watch the ‘next change’ movie. Of course, we would vote yes every time. Whatever movie was a good movie to us. We would just enjoy it without any criticism whatsoever.
We loved the Sharp-Shooter Cowboys, the Red Indian Warriors with their war-faces, the Roman Legions and their mighty Generals, the U.S. Army and their KOOL war machines, The German Gestapos and their secret weapons, the Kamikaze Japanese and their flying machines, the Italian Mobsters and their Sicilian Mafioso, and not forgetting our Count Dracula and his gorgeous brides. And we would love all the dance sequences in the Hindi movies too, while not forgetting the invincible Kung-Fu Shaolin Masters as well…
Now I read cyber-pages and watch online videos. Whatever next, I shall be reading and watching avidly.
